In the case of Soma/Zigo they have opted to no longer have a warehouse and the staff to run it, and have decided instead to contract with Frontline Distribution to handle all receipt of their containers, warehousing, inventory tracking, packing, and freight and small parcel shipping to their end bike dealers. Now instead of having the fixed annual cost of running and staffing their warehouse they simply pay us a per unit fee during peak season for managing and shipping their through put. In addition by using 2 warehouse locations on either coast they have greatly reduced their outbound small parcel and freight shipping costs to their end dealers.
